Testimony of Former Transfer Edge Participant

"The Transfer Edge Program gave me a sense of how UC Davis is during the school year. Coming from a semester system and changing to a quarter system was somewhat of a shock but having a community going through the same thing as me made me feel better knowing that if I needed to, there was someone I could talk to. Hearing about former students’ transfer stories, I was able to better understand that my path does not necessarily need to look like someone else’s. We got so much information about the resources available to us which was very helpful to know what UC Davis has to offer. We got to have presentations from many different departments and programs which were very informative. I actually learned about the Washington Program through Transfer Edge and I was just accepted into the Summer 2021 cohort, so I’m really glad I chose to be a part of this program. I was able to learn so much and get a head start on researching these programs before the fall quarter. Other than all the help and information we received, getting six credits before really even starting school was really cool. I was able to get my writing requirement out of the way without even realizing I needed it. I tell everyone I know who is thinking of transferring about this program. I hope Transfer Edge helps future transfer students as much as it has helped me."
