Bio

Danniele Biala (she/they) is the Summer Sessions Program and Policy Analyst. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies from the University of California, Davis emphasizing in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. During her senior year she completed a creative thesis project focusing on Imposter Syndrome in LGBTQIA+ AAPI communities.

Being second generation filipinx Bay Area nomad, she has a passion for uplifting underserved communities and whole heartedly believes that equitable access to education is a pivotal step towards liberation.

Alongside her volunteer work with grassroots organizations, she began her career working as a Communications Specialist for Imagining America: Artists and Scholars in Public Life providing support with a major national conference and leading the redesign of their digital media marketing efforts.

As a former student, who was dependent on summer courses to graduate, Danniele provides an introspective outlook on the importance of summer sessions to support students’ educational success!
